Who are the flying Monkeys?

I am not exactly sure where to even start with this blog post.  I guess it would be nice to let people know who I am and what I am hoping to do with this blog.

HI!  My name is Lyndsay and this blog is just a way for me to express the wonderful crazy adventures my family of flying monkeys has every day.  There are a lot of things going on in our circus but please do not let that stop you from joining in.

Some of the people you will meet along the way is my daughter, Monkey.  She is 4 years old and has been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder, ADHD, Developmental Delays and many other alphabet soups as we call them.  I am almost positive my husband, D will stop in from time to time as we are a very involved family it would be impossible for me to exclude him from our adventures.

And I can't forget Grrpa.  Grrpa is my father, R who we live with.  And this blog is because of him.  We were driving out to see my grandma this afternoon and he mentioned that I have enough fodder for an interesting blog.  SO, if we are ever looking for someone to thank (or blame) for what happens with this blog we can look to him.

As far as what I am hoping to accomplish with this blog, I am going to keep it simple.  I am hoping to use this blog as a way to share with others the complexity of living with a sensory child.  Yes there are many different blogs out there and I am sure I will look to them for advice and even ideas for content as I go along but I think my own personal experiences and perspective is not out there yet.

Do I think many people will read or care about my blog?  Probably not.  I am not even sure I will promote the blog beyond tags on content.  Do I want to get a lot of readers?  Sure!  But I don't want this blog to become an obsession that I forget to actually enjoy the different adventures I am having with my Monkey.

Other topics this blog will probably cover include bariatric surgery, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD,  homeschooling, So here is to the start of my blog.
